The Asbell Elementary school garden consists of one large raised bed. Students in the environmental club, or “Green Team,” maintain the garden space during the school year. Students grow tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, greens, and flowers in the space.
Future plans for the garden including doubling the growing space with an additional raised bed to be constructed in Fall 2012 with support from a Whole Kids grant.
